Short description of the project:

Thanks to the project, the organizations can strengthen their relationship and, through joint work, make fire protection in the region even more effective.

 

Dates:

1. Opening meeting (Event–Public), Radvaň nad Dunajom, SK

31/01/2026–31/01/2026

The kick-off meeting will involve key staff from all four organisations, ensuring that everyone is in agreement on the project timeline and objectives. It will support the joint effort. By having a consensus from the start of the project, the risk of misunderstandings and inappropriate behaviour will be reduced. It will provide a platform for key members of the organisations to come together, demonstrate their capabilities and share existing operating procedures. This event will provide an opportunity for fire department leaders to have targeted technical discussions on their capabilities. This will support the objective of improving interoperability between volunteer fire departments.

 

2 Education 1. (Event–Public), Kameničná , SK

21/02/2026–22/02/2026

The members of the organization participating in the main project event will participate in training related to the elimination of natural disasters. They will learn the technical background of the participating units. We place special emphasis on mastering the combined, effective application of volunteer tools. They will learn uniform guidelines, procedures, and methods of professional interventions. They will learn methods of professional interventions and tactics of fast, coordinated work. They will learn and master the rules, laws, and official procedures related to the field in both countries. Part of the training is the presentation of technological developments, with particular attention to modern disaster protection tools and methods. Volunteers will become familiar with the latest intervention tactics and procedures related to these in order to be prepared for modern challenges.

 

3 Education 2. (Event–Public), Csép, HU

07/03/2026–08/03/2026

The members of the organization participating in the main project event will participate in training related to the elimination of natural disasters. 6 Field trip (Event–Public), Neszmély, HU

14/08/2026–14/08/2026

The key personnel of the applicant and the partners hold a field trip and a planning event to prepare the practice. This event ensures that the exercise is sufficiently challenging for the participants based on the learning objectives defined during the Coordination Training. Finally, this event leads to the main event of the project, which is the field exercise.

 

8 Exercise control (Event–Private), Komárom, HU

31/08/2026–08/09/2026

From the beginning of the project to the last event of a professional nature, a group of experts in a subcontract continuously supports the work of the project partners. They participate in the preparation and conduct of the exercise in the interest of the most effective result. During the work meetings, you will be responsible for facilitating the discussions, providing guidance and training, and recording the results. The exercise management group will consist of experts who have extensive experience in planning and conducting field exercises. They will also be responsible for preparing the practical manual, together with key employees of the applicant and partner organizations, who will perform the site management role before and during the practice.

9 Lessons learnt and way forward workshop (Event–), Komárom, HU

14/11/2026–14/11/2026

This event will be suitable for evaluating the exercise. It serves as a platform for both the leaders of the partner organizations and the responding units that participated in the exercise to reflect on their performance and the exercise itself. This will be the basis of the recommendations developed by the partners. Allows the project to continue.

 

10 Project closing event. (Event–Public), Radvaň nad Dunajom, SK

20/03/2027–20/03/2027

This event serves to bring the project to a complete close. All events of the project will be discussed at the event. Item-by-item presentation of the total cost of the project to applicants. Exchange and presentation of the necessary documents. The finalization of the next step, which ensures the common future of the two organizations.
